A Dog's Blog

In this day and age when everyone and their dog has a blog, I decided it was time for Rosie to have one of her own. She's the supervisor on all of our yard and home improvement projects, so I'll give you all the updates from her point of view!

Tie a Burlap Sack Around the Old Oak Tree .....

So those aren't the most romantic words you could set to that song, and it's certainly not the most attractive feature of our landscaping, but we're at war here - and this is the enemy:

That's the highly-destructive gypsy moth caterpillar. They invaded Green Bay about five years ago, and since then we've been killing them by the hundreds every summer. Their favorite food is the leaves on oak trees, and they can totally defoliate a whole tree if left unchecked. The city forestry department started bagging all the oak trees in the parks right away and encouraged all homeowners to do the same. The caterpillars come down from the top of the trees during the day to hide from the sun under the burlap, so you can ambush them when you get home from work every day.

Supposedly they will die eventually if you put them in a bucket of soapy water, but we just use a small scissors to cut their little heads off and watch them ooze green slime as they fall off the tree. EEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWW, it's totally gross but extremely satisfying to watch them die, because they are EVIL!!!!!

The DNR has been spraying now for the last two years so they are almost gone. We've only been finding a few here and there this year compared to dozens a day last year. Most people didn't even bother to bag their trees this year, but not my dad. Until we are caterpillar free for a whole week he's not taking that burlap down. He may be retired from the Army, but he still lives by the warrior ethos:

I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit.

Have you ever realized that when you buy readymade suits you get a choice of only a few colors & styles, also finding the perfect fit are quite difficult? Wouldn’t it be better to choose from over 2000 different British & Italian fabrics and get a tailor made suit at a similar price that you pay for readymade suits?

We are a company based in Hong Kong and have been providing custom made suits & shirts since 1997. With representatives in major cities around the globe we can arrange to show you the fabric samples and take your measurements, or you can also place your orders online with the help of our measuring guide. There are over 2000 fabrics to choose from along with all the latest styles.

All our suits and shirts are produced by highly skilled Shanghainese tailors in Hong Kong and delivered in about 4 weeks, express delivery can be made in 2 weeks at a minor extra cost. In case you are not able to find what you are looking for then please let us know your requirement may it be in words or by a photograph and we could arrange it for you.

We also have an outlet at the Hotel Intercontinental Budapest where you are most welcome to visit us. Though we are not located in streets like Savile Row (London), we have still been able to offer made to measure suits to many VIP’s from around the world.
