The Second Annual Neighborhood Fish Fry

This was something started last year when Steve, Maurie and Doug found themselves with a lot of extra fish in their freezers. They all caught plenty of fish again this year, and since everyone had such a great time at the party last year they decided to make it an annual event!

Steve dons the gloves for the messy part of dipping the fish in the breading mix.

Steve and Maurie are the chief fry cooks for this operation. My dad doesn't fish at all, but he makes sure the beer coolers are stocked!

For those who prefer something a little fruitier, Shari and Cindy mix up a big batch of wapatuli. The Urban Dictionary says this is a Midwest thing ..... but it also says it's a college party tradition. Haha! As if we needed more proof that some people never truly grow up.

Of course the evening ends with a bonfire, another Midwest outdoor party requirement!
