Not-So-Mellow Yellow

This is the Asiatic Lily that Mom dug up from Grandma Shirley's yard last month. It finally bloomed here in its new home!

A Profusion of Purple

This is one of my mom's favorite plants, a clematis she planted about five years ago. It loves to climb so our six-foot fence is a natural trellis for it, and now it's branching out to cover the neighbor's new fence too!

This Week's Featured Recipe .....

..... was beef kebabs with squash and red peppers, which were heartily proclaimed the best yet! Of course Dad was in charge of marinating the meat and actually doing the cooking, but it was Mom who washed and chopped all the veggies and assembled these masterpieces.


Dad sure is having fun with his new grill. He decided to keep it in the screen house so it doesn't ever get rained on, so I guess we can really say we have an outdoor kitchen now!

Redneck Fence

We're trying to grow new grass here, but Bryn and I ran through it one too many times during playtime today so Mom decided to construct a hasty defensive perimeter.


As if the only thing they have to worry about is us dogs wiping out in the mud!
