A Dog's Blog

In this day and age when everyone and their dog has a blog, I decided it was time for Rosie to have one of her own. She's the supervisor on all of our yard and home improvement projects, so I'll give you all the updates from her point of view!

April Showers .....

...... bring wet, muddy dogs. It's been raining for days now and as you can see our back yard is a swamp. I still like my daily walk and playtime though, so I've learned to "shake it off" and then stand nice for a towel drying in the garage before I come back in the house!

Signs of Spring

Last weekend was our first taste of nice weather and it brought everybody in the neighborhood outside!

Dad spent most of Saturday afternoon giving the gas grill its annual deep cleaning, so of course he wanted to barbecue something just to make sure all the burners are still working.

The patio furniture was officially brought out for the season, and Doug volunteered to chop some wood for our first fire so Patio Talk could resume again. I just love hanging out by the fire with my favorite peeps!

Our Lucky Day!

You know how much we love gift baskets around here, so of course Mom was absolutely thrilled to find out she won this awesome gift basket from the Family Dental Center in their latest drawing!

There is a lot of great stuff in this one, including a Beanpod Candle. It also has a nice assortment of snacks, which will definitely be enjoyed this weekend when we have our first fire and start a new season of Patio Talk.

Mom took a day off from work to putter around the house and the yard since it was so nice outside today. I enjoyed playing with my ball, which magically reappeared when the snow melted. The only thing that can get me away from my ball is the word WALK. See how my ears perk up when I hear that?!?!?

After our nice long walk I needed a nap. Mom always says "a tired dog is a good dog!"
