Happy Halloween!

Turkey Talk

Soon we'll be putting all the outdoor furniture away for the winter, but first we had to have one more patio party. I got to socialize with everyone for awhile but then I had to go in my kennel when the cooking started because it involved boiling oil!



Every year we have at least one party where Dad gets out his King Cooker and sacrifices a couple of turkeys. He figures once you get the cooker set up you may as well cook two and send everyone home with leftovers. It's also incredibly fast..... in less than 45 minutes you have a 14-pound turkey done to perfection!

'Tis the season ....

For football, that is! That means company on home game weekends, and we all know how much I love having friends come to stay at our house. More people to pet me and give me treats, yay! Many thanks to our good friend Teresa for taking this nice new "family photo" for us when she was here last month.

The big news in my little doggie world was an unexpected trip to the vet after I broke a tooth chewing on one of those indestructible plastic balls. In the photo above you can see I'm now missing one of the lower canine teeth. They had to put me under to get that out, but I came through it like a trooper. Now I just have kind of a lopsided grin, but my mom and dad still think I'm the prettiest dog in the world!
