2006: In the Rearview Mirror Already?!?!?

Wow, over a month with no postings. Where did the time go? We had planned to start our December entries with some cool new snow pics, but we never got any. Global warming turned it all to rain and the grass is actually getting green again. I'm not complaining because all this warm weather means I get out for a nice long walk most days, but Dad is disappointed because he's been itching to use the snowblower!

Inside the house, renovations are underway again. Dad's been busy in the basement, and Mom decided to repaint the first floor hallway and bathroom since she's been off work all week. We're on to Phase II of the basement now. All the furniture is piled up at the north end and new walls are going up on the south end. Doug is on vacation in Florida (lucky dog!) but the insulation should all be up when he gets back next week, just in time for him to help with the drywall. Phase II will be an experiment with this new blue insulation. Note also the water meter we have deal with. You'll have to wait to see how we build around that!
