Only 20 more days until Spring?

Yeah right, as if all this snow is going to melt by then. We just got another 8-10 inches yesterday. At least the sun is shining today, the temperature is back up into the double digits, and I'm going out for a walk, whoohoo!

Happy Valentine's Day!

This amaryllis bulb was a Christmas gift, but we waited until after the first of the year to start it because they are supposed to bloom in six weeks. The hope was that it would bloom on Valentine's Day. Well the first flower finally opened up today .... a day late but still beautiful!


Just in case, we hedged our bets by picking up up a $2.99 bouquet of roses at Aldi yesterday too!
