A Dog's Blog

In this day and age when everyone and their dog has a blog, I decided it was time for Rosie to have one of her own. She's the supervisor on all of our yard and home improvement projects, so I'll give you all the updates from her point of view!

Oh boy, another new toy!

Believe it or not this little bouncy man toy has held up since Wednesday, when Mom went to get food for me at Family Pet Food Center. She bet the clerk I'd probably destroy it within an hour, which I normally do to any toy that has a squeaker inside.

Of course I DID manage to chew off both his little feet - which disabled the squeaker - within the first 30 minutes!

Can you tell I'm a happy dog?

Color My World

Dad thinks it's still a little early to put out vegetable and herb plants, but Mom just couldn't wait. When the tulips started fading she had to go get some more flowers. Just enough for a few containers, to add a splash of color around the patio.

Like this sweet little lavender colored alyssum plant that will eventually cascade out of the weathered old mailbox. (Can you believe Doug was going to throw that mailbox out on the curb?!?!?)

For the patriotic display on the front porch we're going with red verbena this year, and who could resist this cute little guy?!?!?

And finally ...... May flowers!!!

These beautiful and hardy tulips just keep coming back year after year, and they are a very welcome first splash of color in the spring.

Of course that means the grass is growing too. Time to put away the snowblower and get out the lawnmower again.

In other neighborhood news ..... Doug got a new toy!
