A Dog's Blog

In this day and age when everyone and their dog has a blog, I decided it was time for Rosie to have one of her own. She's the supervisor on all of our yard and home improvement projects, so I'll give you all the updates from her point of view!

Let the Games Begin!

Uncle Jim and his friend Alan came in from Chicago yesterday for the last pre-season game at Lambeau Field, so naturally we had to turn on the party lights in our basement bar/Packer Shrine.

And of course I had to get in a little snuggle time on the couch with Uncle Jim too!

Alan offered to take a few shots so you can actually see Mom in the picture for a change. How about that haircut, hey? I think the stylist went a little snip-happy last week.

Nice group shot, guys!

Where has the summer gone?

My Grandma Carol was here for a short visit last week and she commented that it's been ages since we posted any new photos on this blog. Since she's one of our most faithful readers we can't let her down, so it's time to catch up now. Sorry, but our summers here are just too short to not be outside every possible moment. As you will see in the following posts we've definitely been taking advantage of the beautiful weather!

I want it painted red!

About once every 4-5 years we have to refinish all of our outdoor furniture, so Dad gets to use two of his favorite power tools - the pressure washer and the paint spray gun. As usual I came out to supervise, but the sound of the spray gun scared me away.

This year when he went to Fleet Farm (also known as the man's mall!) they didn't have the same paint he's used in previous years so he decided red barn paint would be close enough. Of course it will fade with age, but get out your sunglasses folks because this stuff is bright!

The 3rd Annual Neighborhood Fish Fry

The tradition continues!

Who needs the farmer's market?!?!?

We've got all kinds of herbs, along with three kinds of tomatoes and at least six varieties of peppers, and all of them are going gangbusters right now.

Behold ... the most beautiful bruschetta so far this season.

Mom can whip you up a mean mint mojito too!
