A Dog's Blog

In this day and age when everyone and their dog has a blog, I decided it was time for Rosie to have one of her own. She's the supervisor on all of our yard and home improvement projects, so I'll give you all the updates from her point of view!

Remembering Hailey

We miss you lots but hope you're having fun chasing all the squirrels up there in dog heaven.

The Princess and the Pea

I have a perfectly nice dog bed, and I actually sleep on it once in awhile, but I always manage to find the best spot for snoozing no matter where I am.

Most days when I'm left indoors I like to follow the sun, from the ottoman to the back of the couch by the picture window. I learned this trick from my old buddy Maynard the cat.

I also love mornings on the patio out back, when the sun hits my favorite love seat just right.

Busted again here trying to fluff up the pillows on Mom and Dad's bed. I'm trying to look at least a little bit guilty, but I can't help it that I love my creature comforts!

Gnomes Gone Wild!

Mission Accomplished

Many thanks to our neighbor Jack across the street for letting us borrow his handy-dandy log splitter to finish this long overdue project. Way back in the fall of 2004 we had our big trees pruned, which resulted in a huge pile of logs that were never properly split for firewood.

Above you can see the finished project, with the wood all nicely split and stacked in its new location. Below is the site of the old log pile on the north side of the garage.

As you can see the poor garage is just screaming for fresh paint, and the Chipmunk Condo Association is all atwitter because we razed their complex!

Me and my Dad relaxing after a long day of hard work and celebrating a job well done.
